Pertama, Allah setia pada janji-Nya. Elisabet dan Zakaria sudah lanjut usia dan kehilangan harapan untuk memiliki keturunan. Namun Tuhan datang pada waktu-Nya, bukan waktu kita. Kelahiran Yohanes mau menegaskan: tidak ada yang mutahil dan terlambat bagi Allah. Selama kita percaya, Ia sanggup menghadirkan sukacita baru di tengah kemandulan hidup kita.<br><br>Kedua, nama adalah panggilan. Tetangga ingin menamainya \u201cZakaria\u201d mengikuti tradisi. Tetapi Elisabet dan Zakaria taat pada perintah malaikat: \u201cNamanya Yohanes\u201d. Nama itu berarti \u201cAllah berbelaskasih\u201d. Sejak awal, hidup Yohanes sudah diarahkan untuk mewartakan belaskasih Allah, bukan untuk dirinya sendiri. Kita pun menerima nama sebagai anak Allah saat dibaptis. Nama itu mengingatkan kita bahwa hidup kita dipanggil untuk berkarya bagi Tuhan, bukan untuk diri sendiri.<br><br>Injil ditutup dengan kalimat: anak itu bertumbuh, menjadi kuat, dan tinggal di padang gurun. Ada masa tersembunyi sebelum masa tampil. Mungkin saat ini sebagian dari kita juga sedang berada di \u201cpadang gurun\u201d masa menunggu, masa belajar, masa yang sepi, kekeringan rohani. Jangan takut. Di sanalah Allah membentuk hati kita, menguatkan iman kita, supaya ketika saatnya tiba, kita siap menjadi suara yang menuntun orang berjumpa dengan-Nya.<br><br>Semoga teladan Yohanes Pembaptis menginspirasi kita untuk hidup taat, hidup rendah hati, dan percaya bahwa tangan Tuhan selalu menyertai kita. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Marilah Berdoa:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>&#8220;Ya Allah, aku berharap pada kemurahan hati-Mu&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Injil hari ini memberi kita dua pelajaran sederhana dari kelahiranSt. Yohanes.
