Anak yang pertama menolak, tapi kemudian berubah pikiran dan pergi, sedangkan anak yang kedua berjanji untuk pergi, tapi tidak melakukannya. Yesus menggunakan parabel ini untuk mengkritik orang-orang Farisi yang berjanji untuk taat kepada Allah, tapi tidak melakukannya.<br><br>Kita sering kali seperti anak yang kedua. Kita berjanji untuk taat kepada Allah, tapi tidak melakukannya. Kita berjanji untuk membaca Alkitab, tapi tidak melakukannya. Kita berjanji untuk berdoa, tapi tidak melakukannya.
