Ia memasukkan dua keping uang kecil, hasil jerih payahnya sebagai penjual makanan kecil di pasar. Jumlahnya sangat kecil, tapi ia memberikan dari kebutuhannya sendiri. Tuhan memuji kemurahan hatinya, karena ia tidak memberikan dari kelebihannya, tapi dari kekurangan dirinya. Ibu janda itu mengingatkan kita bahwa ketulusan hati bukan tentang jumlah, tapi tentang hati yang mau berbagi dengan tulus dan ikhlas. Ia tidak berharap pujian atau balasan, tapi hanya ingin memberikan yang terbaik kepada Tuhan.
